BioI'm 32 and an assistant professor in the humanities.
I like Harry Potter a lot and have been known to write fanfic, as you've probably already figured out if you're here. I also write a lot about teaching, academia, and other mundane real-life stuff, which might not be as obvious since most of these posts are f-locked.
If you enjoy reading my journal, feel free to friend it, either with or without commenting. In most cases, I will friend back once I notice. There are a couple of reasons why I might decide not to friend you. For example, your journal may contain religious / political / other controversial content that I'm not comfortable with, or I may have reason to believe, based on the information in your journal and profile, that we might have mutual acquaintances in real life. Most of my f-locked posts are RL stuff, and I'd rather not take the chance of unlocking this content to people who may be able to identify specific individuals I'm writing about. Please understand that if I don't friend you, it is NOT intended as a personal snub, and you're perfectly welcome to read and comment on my public entries.
